MARJORIE ANN BIERSCHWAL LEWIS

Marjorie Ann Bierschwal Lewis, 85 of New Madrid passed away August 23, 2015 at the Golden Living Center in New Madrid. She was born at the St. Francis Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, on September 9, 1929, to the late, Robert H. and Marianne Lewis Bierschwal.

She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in New Madrid and attended the
Immaculate Conception School, graduating in 1943. In high school she attended Ursuline Academy in Arcadia, Missouri, her freshman and sophomore year. Her junior year of education was at the Visitation Academy in St Louis, a school attended by her mother. She came home her senior year and attended New Madrid High School graduating in the class of 1947. After high school she worked at the New Madrid County Health Department and the welfare office in New Madrid.

On December 17, 1949, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church she married William Robert “Billy Bob” Lewis, who preceded her in death on July 19, 1974.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by one son, David Lewis.

Survivors include; three daughters, Marianne and her husband Chuck Clinch of Phoenix, AZ., Jayne and her husband Bob Dees of Lilbourn and Emily and her husband Kevin Carlisle of Lilbourn, one brother, Bob Bierschwal of New Madrid, eight grandchildren, Flint Dees, Jeremy Dees, Zach Dees, Meghan Carlisle, Sonni Carlisle, Lindsey Carlisle, Nikki Clinch and Andrew Clinch, and three great-grandchildren, Kendall Dees, Cooper Dees and Emi Claire Dees.
