Ivett Patton

On November 26, 2016 Ivett Patton was called home.  She was born August 8th, 1922 in Clarksdale, Arkansas.  She was the daughter of the late Abe Mays & Maggie Wilkerson Young. 

Ivett moved to Missouri at an early age.  She joined the First Baptist Church in Catron, MO in the 1970’s.  Ivett was a fun, loving, dedicated woman.  She was a giving and caring person.  Although Ivett had her own children, she never turned anyone in need away.  She had an amazing heart and loved by many.  Ivett will truly be missed by everyone who came in her presence. 

Ivett leaves to cherish in her memories; 1 sister, Inez Patton of Chicago, IL.  4 daughters, Odessa (Dwight) Hill of Elgin, IL., Oretha (Gerome) Taylor of Denver, CO., Bessie (Alton) Rogers & Gloria Patton, both of Parma, MO., & 1 son, Cornelius (Sharon) Patton, of Elgin, IL.  14 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, 3 great great-grandchildren, & a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Preceded in death by:  Her husband, Parker Patton, 2 daughters, Ernestine Patton, Stephine Patton, 2 sons, Willie Lee Patton & John Patton, 1 granddaughter Kenesha Hill, daughter-in-law Rosemary. 

We want to give a special thanks to her caregivers Connie & Ruth Walker, Denika Sanders.  To her great granddaughter Shaunteza Patton & the workers at Ridgeview Living Community.  And a special thanks to her granddaughter-in-law Aisha Patton.
