June Crouthers, 81, passed away June 26, 2016, at the Golden Living Center in New Madrid.
She was born June 21, 1935, in Armarel, Ark., to the late Ed and Maggie Downing.
On Dec. 20, 1953, she married Paul C. “Collie” Crouthers, who survives of the home.
Survivors include: her sons, Paul C. “Kippy” Crouthers and family of Lilbourn, and David A. and Jo Crouthers and family of Catron.
She held dear all of her family, but her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her special loves.
These include: Daniel Crouthers, Andrew Crouthers and wife, Rachel, Brittany Crouthers Nichols and husband, Eric, Alicia Crouthers and stepgrandchildren, Chrisi Hodges and Katy Hart and husband, Donald; great-grandchildren, Rebecca Crouthers, Hannah Crouthers, Drew Crouthers, Sarah Crouthers, Claire Crouthers and Emery Grace Nichols; and great-stepgrandchildren, Lyndzi Hart, Donald Hart, Deanna Hart, Maggie Langley, Patrick Hodges and Peyton Hodges.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Joy Downing Harrison.
Services were conducted today at the Lilbourn United Methodist Church with Eric Mattson officiating.
Burial followed in the Mounds Park Cemetery under the direction of Richards Funeral Home in New Madrid.
Pallbearers were: Eric Nichols, Donald Hart, Jerry Winberry, Mark Williams, Brad Williams and Tim Dambach.
