Dorothy Jean Bevly, 67, died Jan. 2, 2016, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Born March 30, 1948, in LaForge, to the late Edward “Buffy” and Annie Mae Nickerson Bevly, she attended O’Bannon High School in New Madrid. She worked at Brown Shoe Company in Parma and was a member of the Life Church in Sikeston.
Survivors include: two sons and daughters-in-law, Timothy and Marcia Bevly and Nicholas and Latoyia Bevly of New Madrid; one daughter, Nicole Bevly of New Mardid; four brothers, Edward Bevly Jr., Leauthry Bevly, Jimmy Bevly and Rondal Bevly of Chicago; one sister, Minnie Spruill of Chicago; two grandchildren whom she raised, Timothy Bevly Jr. and Terrance Bevly; and nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Nebraska Bevly; two sisters, Mildred Bevly and Catherine Bevly; and one grandson, Devin Williams.
Visitation is from 11 a.m. until time of service at noon Friday at the Life Church in Sikeston.
Private burial will be at a later date.
Richards Funeral Home of New Madrid is in charge of arrangements.
