Barbara Ellen Jones

Barbara Ellen Jones passed away March 29, 2016, at Golden Living Center in New Madrid at the age 78 years.
She was born Aug. 21, 1937, in Lilbourn, to the late Herbert and Viola Beardsley Seals.
She was married to James Ras Jones, who survives of the home.
She owned and operated Jones Grocery for many years and was a bail bondsman. She was a member and past president of American Legion Auxiliary Unit 595 in New Madrid and a member of Riverbend Pentecostal Church in New Madrid.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Patricia Jones; and one grandson, Mikey Bissell; three sisters; and one brother.
Survivors include: three daughters and sons-in-law, Pamela and Tony Hampton and Tonya and John Powell of New Madrid and Joanne and Terry Sauceman of Gonzales, La.; one son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Terri Sauceman of Leesville, La.; three brothers, Edward Seals of Poplar Bluff, James Seals of Elkhart, Ind., and Bill Seals of Okeechobee, Fla.; four sisters, Louise Perry of El Paso, Texas, Tudy Brown of Elkhart, Charlotte Thompson of Miami and Anne Scott of Colorado Springs, Colo.; six grandchildren, Jonathan Powell, Kasey Williams, Amber Pruitt, April Prestridge, Sabrina Sauceman and Chad Sauceman; four great-grandchildren, Malia Birdwell, Makayla Birdwell, Alex Edwards and Hope Dawson; and one great-great-grandchild, Ellamarie Williams. 
Visitation is from 10 a.m. until service time at noon Friday at Riverbend Pentecostal Church in New Madrid. The Rev. G.L. Keene will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Jonathan Powell, Jonathan Riggs, Steve Barbre, Dewey Jones, Ray Halterman and Tommy Chism.
Richards Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
