It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, dad and papa, William “Worm” Huston Fields who left us on Sept 12, 2024 at the place where he loved the most, the lake. Born on August 22, 1955 in Lilbourn to the late Earl “Punkie” Fields and Betty Jo (Flannigan) Fields.
On February 4, 1978 in Marston he married the love of his life Donna Marie Edgin who is survived of the home. They were married for 46 beautiful years. Worm was an avid Hunter and fisherman who loved the outdoors. You could recognize him in town riding around in his white truck with his dog Bingo in his lap.Worm was a hard worker who retired from Noranda after 27 years.
Survivors include his three sons, Huston (Hillary) Fields, Brandon (Kristin) Fields and Justin (Lacey) Fields. He had five beautiful grandchildren who made his world go round, Kinsley, Aubree, Harper, River and Isabella. He is also survived by six siblings Donna Sue, Janice, Sheila, Martha, Kenneth and Wesley.
He was proceeded in death by both parents, his uncle Bobby Fields, sister Brenda Kay Fields, and his brother Bobby Earl ( Squirrel).
Visitation is scheduled for Monday Sept 16, 2024 from 11am to time of service at 1pm at Richards Funeral Home in New Madrid, MO. G.L. Keene will officiate the services. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery in New Madrid, MO.
Pall bearers will be Lee Boyd, Denson Taylor, Eddie Jones, Tyler Stanley, Billy Tanner and Gary Cook. Honorary pallbearers are Don Fields, Jonathon Riggs, Dustin Fields, Terry Sullenger, Clint Tanner, Ryan Lawrence and Terry Thompson.
