Robert Bierschwal 

 

NEW MADRID. Mo. -~ Robert L. Bierschwal passed away July 8. 2020. at Delta South Care Center in Sikeston at the age of 88 years. 

 

He was born Sept. 3. 1931, in Cape Girardeau, Mo., son of the late Robert H. and Marianne Lewis Bierschwal. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in New Madrid. He retired from the Union Texas Petroleum Corp Houston, Texas, after 

 

29 years of services as an accountant. He was a hospital corpsman in the US, Navy during the Korean War and served aboard the USS William C. Lawe DD 763 and at Naval hospitals in Portsmouth, Va., and Millington. Tenn. He later worked for Triton Energy Corp in Jakarta, lndonesia. 

 

Survivors include: three nieces and their spouses, Marianne and Chuck Clinch of Phoenix, Ariz., Emily and Kevin Carlisle of Lilboun, MO, and Jayne and Robert Dees of Lilbourn.

 

He was preceded in death by one sister, Marjorie Lewis: and one nephew, David Lewis. 

 

Visitation is from 9 am. until service time at: 11 am. Monday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in New Madrid. The Rev. Randy Tochtrop officiating. 

 

Burial followed in the Evergreen Cemetery at New Madrid. 

 

Pallbearers will be: Flint Dees, Jeremy Dees, Zach Dees, Ruch Rocker, Ruch Holliman and Cooper Dees.
