Rebecca Susan Sharp Robbins of New Madrid, MO died August 21, 2024 in her home at the age of 67.
Born May 24, 1957, she was the daughter of the late Van H Sharp, Jr. and Rebecca Hughes Sharp of New Madrid.
On January 23, 1979 she married Jerome D Robbins, who survives of the home.
She was a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University with a Bachelors of Science and Masters of Arts in education. She was a former teacher of New Madrid County R-1 school district.
In addition to her husband she is survived by her siblings: Cindy (Rand) Amick of New Madrid, Jennifer (Dave) Thomure of East Prairie, MO and Harry (Lisa) Sharp of Marian, IL. She is also survived by her five children and spouses: Vanessa (Anthony) Young of New Madrid, Valerie (Ryan) Lawrence of New Madrid, David (Danielle Stokes) Robbins of Sikeston, MO, Victoria (Drew) Akins of New Madrid and Madeleine (Dexter) Sproles of Millington, TN: 19 grandchildren: Cullen Pearson, Austin, Morgan, Van, Vivienne, Ghent, Madeleine, John Anthony and Caroline Young; Shea and Lydia Lawrence; Lily and Layla Robbins, Lorelei Standridge and Annabelle Stokes; Davis, Kelso, and James Akins; Finn Alley. One great-grandchild: Alizabeth Young; and several dear nieces, nephews, and special friends.
Pallbearers are Anthony Young, Ryan Lawrence, Drew Akins, Dexter Sproles, Cullen Pearson, Rand Amick, Jim Robbins and Nicholas Machiran.
Visitation will be at Richards Funeral Home in New Madrid on Saturday Aug 24, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. with Rosary at 10:00 a.m. There will be a funeral mass at 11:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church.
Burial to follow at Evergreen Cenetery.
