Phillip A Pfuehler was born October 6, 1936 in Baraboo, Wisconsin to Lois E “Molly” Capener Pfuehler and Arthur R Pfuehler. He passed away on Thursday December 19, 2024 at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, MO at the age of 88 years, 2 months and 13 days.
Phillip was preceded in death by his wife Bonnie (Warren) Pfuehler, his parents Arthur and Molly Pfuehler, a brother Dennis Pfuehler and two daughters Dawn Marie Pfuehler and Misty Dawn Pfuehler.
He served in the United States an Army National Guard during the Korean conflict.
Phillip was an avid Hunter and thoroughly enjoyed taxidermy work for a large portion of his life. He also had a love of motorcycles and race cars. He built his own race car, which he raced locally, never missed a race on television, and attended several races at Talladega.
Uncle Goober, as affectionately known by his nieces and nephews, was also known as the “New Madrid Weather Watcher” for KFVS-12. Even through his sickness, he was very loyal to watching and reporting the weather.
He leaves to cherish his memories, one brother Gary Pfuehler of Fairfield, Ohio; two sisters, Shirley (Marvin) Zeman of Watertown, Wisconsin and Sandy Riggs of New Madrid, Missouri; four daughters, all of Ohio; Tammy (Don) Crosby, Jody Perroni, Cindy (James) Kapolka and Philana Pfuehler; one daughter, Sandy Kay Pfuehler of Florida and one son, Danny (Dixie) Pfuehler Hegadore of North Carolina, 16 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and a host of many other relatives and friends
Services are Saturday January 4, 2025 with visitation from 11:00am to 1:00pm at Kewanee Baptist Church, Hwy 61, Kewanee, MO and Funeral services to follow at 1:00pm with Brother Dan Wisely, officiating.
Pallbearers are Jeff Decker, Justin Decker, Phillip Decker, Darren Duckworth, Joey Duckworth and Jonathan Riggs
