Mattie Francine "Fran" Carter, 76, of Lilbourn, Missouri passed away October 15, 2021 at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

She was born September 11, 1945 in Collinwood, TN., to the late James Rudolph and Iler Mae Jones Holden.

On September 19, 2011 she was married to Robert Carter, who survives of the home. She was a member of the American Legion Post #595 of New Madrid, the New Madrid Eagles Aerie #4206 and the Mathews Jaycees.

In addition to her parents, she is also survived by: her children, Anthony and Alicia Musgrave of Chaffee, Missouri, Angela and James Carver of Portageville, Missouri, Rhonda and Tracy Chilton of Van Buren, Missouri, Andrea Turner of Alton, Illinois, four step-children, Annette and Brian Richner of Maryland, Robert Carter, Jr. of Alabama, Shawn and Tina Carter of Lilbourn, Amanda and Larry Joe Hill of Lilbourn, grandson, James Dylan Carver of Portageville, Missouri, sisters, Janie Mae Shearl of Portageville, Versa Dean Marques of Collidge, Arizona, brother, James Holden, Jr. of Portageville, Missouri, brother-in-law, Garvin Jones of Arizona, sixteen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by four sisters and one brother.
