Myra Louise Keene Jackson, age 96, of McKinney, Texas went to
her reward on January 22, 2017. She was born on January 15, 1921 in
New Madrid, Missouri to James Lemuel Hastings Keene and Mattie
Lee Joiner Keene. On November 26, 1939, she married Madison
Buel Jackson in St. Louis, Missouri and he preceded her in death on
January 7, 1973.
Eventually she moved to Milan, Michigan where she lived for over
50 years before moving with her daughter and grandchildren to
Texas. Louise worked as a nursing supervisor at Ypsilanti State
Hospital from 1944-1981. After retirement, she continued to care for
people in a myriad of different ways.
Everyone that crossed her path went away with a hand-crocheted
item that she made especially for them.
She was a big personality remembered by everyone she met
including her daughter's schoolmates some 50 years later.
She was purely devoted to her family and always said that they were
her whole world. She had several nieces named after her and she was
so very proud of that fact.
She had one very special niece, Leaveve Jackson Holmes who was
her first "daughter".
She is survived by her daughter Necia Alyne (Joe) Guidry,
Grandsons Christopher Madison (Chessa) Horvath, Nicholas Stephen
Horvath, Gabriel Michael Horvath, her "miracle girl", granddaughter
Courtney Louise Horvath, great-grandchildren Annalyse LeAnn and
Sadie Madison Horvath and Samuel Layne Horvath all of McKinney,
TX. Lastly, she leaves behind her long-time chosen daughter,
Carrilou McConeghy Kaufman of Glendale, Az. as well as her
beloved dog TJ.
She is also survived by a brother Clifford W. (Keene) Tittle of
Bismarck, Arkansas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Hazel
Fitzgerald, Olga McCarty and Alyne Townsend and her brother
