LARRY WILLIAM TOLLISON

Larry William Tollison passed away December 14, 2022, at his home in Marston at the age of 81 years. 

He was born September 17, 1941, in Kewanee, MO to the late W.T. and Helen Rhodes Tollison.

Larry served in the U.S. Army from July 1959 until July 1962 and received a Sharpshooter badge in Rifle and Carbine. Larry served in Law Enforcement as a Deputy in Wisconsin.  After moving back to Missouri, he held several jobs and was involved in youth sports for many years.  Larry was a coach and commissioner of the New Madrid Youth League, and after coaching, he was an umpire for many years. He was former Alderman for the City of New Madrid.  He was a car salesman for many years in southeast Missouri and was the manager of the New Madrid Country Club for several years.  He was known for making the best nachos around.  Larry was also good with TV boxes and most of the time had his set to FOX News.

He is survived by his wife of almost 40 years, Linda Green Tollison, who survives of the home.  Three sons, Lance William Tollison (Nichole) of Jackson, MO; Troy Christopher Tollison of Cape Girardeau, MO; Scott Thomas Tollison (Nate) of Marble Hill, MO; Daughter, Shannon Tollison Reed of Sikeston, MO.

Grandchildren:  Kristin Tollison (Brandon) Fields, Sydney Tollison (Nathan) Vicenzi, Josh Reed, Jake Reed, and Jared Reed.  Great-grandchildren: Kinsley, Harper, and River.

Brother: Jim Tollison (Becky) of Van Buren, AR.

Sisters: Sondra Faulkner of Jackson, MO.  Paula Maupin (Bobby) of Mt. Juliet, TN.

Many friends and a very special person, the mother of his oldest children, Pat (Glen) Hessling. 

He was preceded in death by: parents and sister, Linda Collier.

Visitation:  Thursday, December 29, 2022…4:00-6:30 p.m. (Richards Funeral Home)

Memorial Service: 6:30 p.m. (Richards Funeral Home)

A private military service at Missouri Veterans Cemetery will be held at a later date.
