Larry Joe Drake, Sr.

Larry Joe Drake, Sr., 70, of New Madrid, Missouri passed away October 3, 2020, at the Landmark Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born January 24, 1950, in Sikeston, MO., to the late Doyle Eugene and Mary Frances Carter Drake.

He was married to Peggy Calton, who survives of the home.

He was a self employed mechanic and owner and operator of Joe Drake repairs in New Madrid for 35 years. During his younger years, he loved to drag race, dove hunt, duck hunt, fish, and go for rides in his mule with Peggy and his dogs.  He always enjoyed being with his family and friends, especially his favorite person, his granddaughter, Hayli.

Survivors include:  son, Larry Joe and Kimberly Drake, Marston, MO,  daughter: Shannon and David Howard, Sikeston, MO, granddaughter: Hayli Howard, stepgrandchildren: Hayley and Justus Ash, sisters: Barbara Davidson and Debbie Reeves.

He was preceded in death by his parents, as well as brothers, James, Jackie, and Ricky Drake.
