Joyce Louella (Morton) Rhodes passed away on January 3, 2022, at her home in New Madrid, Missouri. She was born January 24, 1933, in Cooter, Missouri to William Levi Morton and Delola May Young Morton. She was predeceased by her husband, Coyle William (Skip) Rhodes, her mother and father, her two brothers, Lester E. Morton and Leroy L. Morton. She is survived one brother, Lloyd Morton (Norma) of Morley, Missouri. She is survived by her four children, Deborah Lucy (James) of Inverness, Florida, Brenda McKinnie (Rowland) of Sikeston, Missouri, Karen Rhodes Harrison of New Madrid, Missouri and Roy L. “Chip” Rhodes (Jen) of North Port, Florida. She is additionally survived by her 7 grandchildren, James Garrett Lucy (Mary Ellen), L. Aaron Lucy, Danny Ray Ivie, II, Nicholas R. Rhodes (Danielle), Erica D. Ivie, Kaitlin Thorson (Doug), and Maura Rhodes. She is survived by her 12 great-grandchildren, Aubrie Lucy, Isaac L. Lucy, Jacie Elhoff, Nicholas R. Rhodes, II., Isabella Ivie, Ava Rhodes, Kannon Rhodes, Madison Rhodes, Braxtyn Moore, Jaxon Skipper Rhodes, Blake Thorson and Skipper Annaleigh Putnam. She is survived by two great-great-grandchildren, Lily and Lucy Elhoff. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude’s Children Hospital.
