John Alvie Langley, 78, was born August 2, 1947 in Valley Park, Missouri, to the late Charles "Bill" Langley and Elizabeth Chadd. He passed away October 4, 2025 peacefully, surrounded by his loving family.
He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp from 1964-1969. He served two tours of duty in Vietnam as a Sergent of the 1st Battalion 6th Marines.
John worked as a Union Ironworker Local 782 from 1969 until 2011.
John was united in marriage, to the love of his life, Rosa Lee Willis on September 6, 1969, who survives of the home. He was a member of the New Madrid Baptist Church from 1980 until present day and was commander of the American Legion for two years.
Survivors include; children, Tonya Langley Darnell, Sean Jeffery Langley, Anthony "Tony" Elmer Langley, Charles "Chuck" David Langley and Danny Langley; siblings, Gail Langley, Robert Langley, Charles Dickens, Scottie Dickens, Harold Dickens and Ellen Dickens; grandchildren, Jonathan Langley, Dalton Langley, Cole Darnell, and Maggie Langley; great-grandchildren, JonLuke Langley and Audrey Langley.
He was preceded in death by, his parents, his sisters, Shirley Wilson, Sherry Langley and Judy Duckworth, his brothers, Donald Langley, Clarance Dickens and Jerry Dickens, and niece, Tiffany Langley.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the compassionate staff of Crown Hospice, Sovereign Health Care, and Vetcil/Bails.
The family would also like to thank their New Madrid Baptist Church Family for their comfort and strength found in their prayers and presence during this time of loss.
