LIFE REFLECTIONS
Jeffery ("Jeff') Collins was born on April 29, 1978 to Hugh and Lillian Collins in
Hayti, Missouri. He departed this life peacefully at his home on January 15,2020.
He was a 1996 graduate of Sikeston Senior High School and an employee of Americold
Operating Systems in Sikeston, Missouri.
Jeffwas a loving father to his adorable children. He demonstrated love and loyalty to
family and friends as witnessed by his many nicknames. If you knew him, one of these
should ring a bell: Harpo, Flaco, Old Folk, JC, Jeff-Row, Jefro-Bodine, and Charlie
Brown.
He was faithful in playing the lottery because he just knew that one day his number
would payoff. His 1994 black Camaro was his pride. He cared for it so well that most of
you may never have driven it. Jeff loved food, especially when it was Popeye's chicken,
Chinese, or just free.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Ruby Mosley; maternal
grandfather, Ed Graham; and paternal grandfather, Mitchell Collins, Sr.
Jeff leaves behind to cherish his memory his parents, Hugh and Lillian Collins of
Sikeston, MO; two sons, Lathan Brown of West Memphis, AR., and Jemarcus Johnson of
Charleston, MO; one daughter, Icis Collins of Sikeston, MO; Shaela Draper, the love of
his life; his siblings: Reggie Murray of New Madrid, MO; Carla Murray of Bardstown,
KY; Roderick (Kawajalyn) Collins of Jefferson City, MO; Katina (Anthony) Beane of
Dekalb, IL; Randy Collins of Sikeston, MO; Yvonne Mosley of Charleston, MO; Donald
(Wanda) Mosley, Tyrone (Janette) Mosley, Timothy Mosley, Stephanie Mosley, Tricia
Ann Mosley and Tony Mosley, all of Sikeston, MO. Fond memories will also be
cherished by his paternal grandmother, Madam Collins; aunts and uncles, nieces and
nephews and a host of beloved family and friends.
