Glinda Higgerson Obituary

Glinda Higgerson passed away peacefully at her residence on November 12, 2025, in Swartz Creek, MI at the age of 87, surrounded by her family.

Glinda was born March 1, 1938, to John D and Almeida (Porter) Henry.  She married Harold Higgerson Jr on February 8, 1958 in Flint, MI. They were blessed with 4 children, 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Glinda had many interests and hobbies. She was a homemaker who loved cooking, knitting, sewing, Crocheting  and baking treats for her family and the neighborhood kids. In her younger years, she was an avid and very competitive bowler. She loved gardening and tending to her many flowers. Glinda spent countless hours with her twin sister, Linda, playing detective and trying to solve the mystery of the day. She never met a stranger. She enjoyed bargain hunting and adding to her many collections. Mostly, she enjoyed reminiscing about her childhood to anyone who would listen. Over the years Glinda had many pets, most recently, her beloved JoJo, who kept her company after her husband’s passing.

She is survived by her 4 children, Harold III (Jill) Higgerson, Cynthia (Don) Gairhan, Thomas (Sally) Higgerson and Michelle (Joseph) Wamsley; 11 grandchildren, Andrew (Trish), Brandon, Victoria, Matt (Kristen), Steve, Stephanie (Steve), Rachel (Mark), Caitlyn, Jaclyn (Nick), Jillian, John; 12 great-grandchildren; siblings Mary Alice Higgerson, William Henry, her twin sister Linda Williams, Virginia Higgerson, Richard (Virginia) Henry, Robert (Sharon) Henry and sister in law Carol Henry.
