Gladys (Williams) Wescoat

Gladys Wescoat, 84, of New Madrid passed away March 11, 2022, at the Golden Living Center in New Madrid.

She was born May 14, 1937, in Summertown, Tennessee, to the late Louis Williams and Sarah Shaddix Williams.

March 13, 1957, she married V.S. Wescoat, who preceded her in death in February 1986.

Survivors include: two sons and one daughter-in-law, Bill and Kay Wescoat of Matthews and Paul Wescoat of New Madrid., two grandsons, Russ and Natalie Wescoat of New Madrid and Lee and Traci Wescoat of Matthews, one granddaughter, Sarah and Bradley Haney of East Prairie, brothers and sisters, Edwin Williams of New Madrid, Edward Williams of Sikeston, Elizabeth Moore of Arnold, Faye Box of Florida, Sheila Bradley of New Madrid and Louis Williams of New Madrid, six great-grandchildren, Lauren, Lane, Emma, Ella, Tucker, and Toby.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by, one son, Virgil Wescoat, Jr., one grandson, Christopher Wescoat and one sister, Margaret Chamberlain.
