Obituary

George "Gee" Dawson, 67 died April 26, 2022. Born June 29, 1954, to the late George William Dawson, Sr., and Catherine Hayden Dawson Cook.

He attended Immaculate Conception School and graduated from New Madrid High School in 1972.

He was married to Jane Ann Fields on January 25, 1975, who preceded in death. He was also preceded in death by his sister Melissa Dawson Hunter, his brother, Paul Joseph Dawson and granddaughter, Alysia Riley.

He is survived by four children, ten grandchildren and three siblings.

He was a great and prolific storyteller, enjoyed farming and discussing current events and politics.  He was a member of the National Guard and in previous years he was an active member of the Knights of Columbus.

Pallbearers: Richard St. Mary, Chris Leible, Latham Hunter, Jeff Grunwald and Gage Pikey.

Honorary Pallbearers: Sam Hunter, Bobby LaValle, Richard Phillips, Dan Drury, Danny Cook, Trey Hayden, Mark Cross and Kevin Dawson.
