Frank E. Masterson Sr., age 80, of New Madrid, Missouri, passed away peacefully in his sleep on June 20, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.
Born on November 10, 1945, to Mary Marie Masterson and Boyd F. Masterson Sr., Frank lived a life defined by service, dedication, and love for his family and community.
Frank proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and was a Vietnam Veteran. Following his military service, he devoted many years to public service and law enforcement. He retired as a Deputy with the New Madrid County Sheriff’s Department and later continued his work serving the community as a Special Investigator with the New Madrid County Prosecutor’s Office.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Charles R. Masterson; and his beloved wife, Thelma J. (Allred) Masterson.
Frank is survived by his son, Frank E. Masterson Jr. and his wife, Mary Masterson; his grandson, Konner Masterson and wife, Taylor Masterson; his granddaughter, Kaitlynn Landers and her husband, Dillion Landers; and his first great-granddaughter, Amelia Rose Landers; Two brothers, David Masterson of Daytona Beach, FL; Boyd F. (Matt) Masterson Jr. and wife Teresa Masterson; and one sister Karen Swift of Poplar Bluff, MO.
A loving son, brother, father, Paw-Paw, and Great Paw-Paw, Frank will be remembered for his unwavering devotion to his family, his strong sense of duty, and his many years of dedicated service to others. His kindness, wisdom, and character left a lasting impression on all who knew him. He never met a stranger. Though he will be deeply missed, his legacy will continue to live on through the family he loved and the lives he touched
Graveside services will be held at a later date, with arrangements to be announced.
