Estella Beasley Blissett was born August 1, 1922 in Midnight, Mississippi to parents Jake Knight and Fennie Johnson who preceded her in death. She departed this life on December 30, 2018 at 3 pm at the New Madrid Nursing Home.
Mother Blissett was married to Johnnie Blissett, who preceded her in death. She had one sister, Jane Ella Robinson (deceased) and one brother, Leonard Robinson (deceased). She leaves to rejoice in passing to another life, her very special nephew (Tommy Lee Wells..aka. “Tom”) and wife (Faye); several great nieces, nephews and friends.
Mother Blissett was a longtime member of St. James Word of Faith in Hayti, MO under the leadership of Pastor Johnny Hood. She also attended New Life in New Madrid, MO and Friendship COGIC in Howardville, MO under the leadership of Bishop Marvel Cranford. Mother Blissett loved to praise the Lord and she could get the church jumping and praising God. She loved listening to the Word all day long.
II Timothy 4:7-8 “She fought a good faith, she finished her course, she kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for her a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give her at that day: and not to her only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.”
Burial will be at New Madrid Evergreen Cemetery.
