Edwin "Ed" Bickerstaff Obituary

Edwin “Ed” L. Bickerstaff Jr. 67 of New Madrid went home to be with the Lord on April 18, 2024 at Mercy Southeast Mo. Hospital. He was born November 18, 1956 to Edwin L & Anna Sue (Neihoff) of Paducah KY.


He married the love of his life Rhonda Dillon, on June 30, 1979.
Ed was a devoted family man and a hard worker, and he never met a stranger. He worked as a welder-mechanic/supervisor at associated electric power plant for many years before retirement. He was an avid hunter of all kinds but was a devoted duck hunter and loved to judge field trial hunt test.
Ed gave his life to the Lord in March of 2017. He joined Kewanee Missionary Baptist Church and served in the church.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Rhonda Bickerstaff, two sons Jason of New Madrid, Brandon of Jacksonville Florida, He is paw paw to his twin granddaughters Mckayla and Antonia of Jacksonville Florida. He was the oldest of 6 siblings Robert, Ray, Lisa, Mark, Karen, and Joel.
He was preceded in death by his dad.
Ed will be greatly missed by his family, many friends.
Pallbearers will be Reid Howell, Phillip Rorer, Jerry Mann, Shannon Sprouse, Mark Bickerstaff, and Robert Bickerstaff.
