Earnestine Jackson Obituary

Earnestine Jackson was born April 9, 1942 in Tunica Mississippi
to Johnnie and Rosie Bell Withers. She departed this life
peacefully at Pruitt Health Facility in Austell, Georgia on February 27, 2020.

She attended Lucy Flower High School in Chicago IL. She married Coy Lee Jack-
son in~1957 and in this union three children were born: Coyvell, Keith and LaTonya. Her and her family located to Los Angeles, CA, where her husband Coy mastered his skill in upholstery.

And then after a job transfer they moved back to Illinois.

Earnestine received Christ in Wheeling, IL in 1976 and she devoted her life to servicing others. Her journey
included working with people with special needs which started in Wheeling, IL as a Director of Respite. She
relocated to Lilbourn M0. in 1979 with her family and there she worked with her late husband Coy Jackson in
the Upholstery business. She spent many glorious years at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church where she served as
youth director, finance secretary and served on the mother board. After her children graduated and started
their own families, her and her husband moved to Howardville, MO. and she began working in the
community serving as the President for the Howardville Community Betterment. She also served as an
Elected Municipal Judge for the City of Howardville. When she opened Jackson's Group Home and Personal
Touch in 1999, Jackson's Group Home became the model Group Home for the State of Missouri. She also
served on the Board of Directors of Howardville Community Betterment as a Community Advisor.

Earnestine attended Friendship Church of Howardville, MO. and served as president on the mother board for
6 years before leaving Missouri.

She believed in all forms of community integration for adults and children with special needs as well as
providing jobs and forming relationships within the community including Howardville Youth Stream Team
1617 and throughout the State of Missouri in her role as a foster mother. She was acknowledged by the State
of Missouri as 'The Best In Getting Them Right".

She was preceded in death by her husband Coy Jackson, her son, Keith Jackson, her parents Rosa Bell and
Johnnie Withers, 2 sisters Joan and Lula and 2 brothers Ike and John Jr.

She leaves to cherish in her memories:

Her children two sons Coyvell Jackson (Brenda), Lee Jackson and daughter La Tonya Jackson. 1 Stepdaughter
Antoinette Williams {Howard}. Two sisters Willa Mae Bailey and Ethel Williams, 2 brother in laws, Frank
Jackson (Mary). John Burton (Leola), and one sister in law Catherine Johnson and a host of grandchildren,
great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, godchildren, and other family and friends.
