Dennis Ray Crockett, II

Dennis Ray Crockett, II, 55 of New Madrid, MO, passed away on Friday, November 3, 2023 at his home in Poplar Bluff, MO.

            Denny was born on August 30, 1968 to Dennis and Anna Jane Crockett in New Orleans, LA.  He graduated from New Madrid County Central High School in 1986.

            He was a beloved son, father, grandfather, brother, and Veteran of the United States military.  He lived up to his nickname “Dennis the Menace,” and he never met a stranger.  He enjoyed spending time with his daughter, Clara Stroud, and his granddaughter August Wilkerson.

            Left to cherish his memories: his mother, Anna Jane Crockett, daughter, Clara Stroud, granddaughter, August Wilkerson, sisters, Maria Allen, Cathy Underhill (Kenny), and Lindy Smiley, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.  He was preceded in death by his father, Dennis Ray Crockett, and his son, Dennis Ray Crockett III.

            Graveside services will be held on Monday, November 6, 2023 at the Portageville, MO Cemetery with Reverend G.L. Keene officiating.  Richards Funeral Home will be conducting the services.
