Datrae Dontreice Hicks

Datrae Dontreice Hicks affectionately known as Jawzz was born August 28, 1992 in Sikeston, Missouri to Yolanda Hicks and Willie Burrow. He was preceded in death by his grandfather William McFerren.

Datrae was baptized and confess his love for God at an early age. He graduated in 2011 from New Madrid County Central High School where he played basketball.

Datrae was a wonderful father, son, grandson and brother who loved his family and was loved by his family. Datrae always kept a smile on his face and he loved to play spades and dominos. He touched the hearts of many who encountered him.

On Sunday February 16, 2020 he passed away and transitioned to his heavenly home.

Datrae leaves to cherish his memory his mother Yolanda Hicks of Columbus, Ohio, his father Willie (Keisha) Burrow of Sikeston, Missouri, one daughter Arianna Hicks of Howardville Missouri, two sons, Datrae Hicks Jr. and Adonis Hicks of Howardville, Missouri, his fiancée Dasia Harrell of Howardville Missouri, five brothers D’Andre Hicks of New Madrid, Missouri,  D’Shaun  (Terika)  Howard of Hopkins South Carolina, Timothy Fields of Lilbourn, Missouri, Luke Harris of Kansas City, Missouri and Ray Wheeler of Sikeston, Missouri, six sisters Sheniqua Polk of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Jasmine (Andrew) Sales, Ja’Qualyn Ware-Burrow, Je’Christian Ware-Burrow of Sikeston, Missouri, Justice Ware-Burrow and Ja’Myrah Ware-Burrow of St. Louis, Missouri, one step-brother Jayzion Wheller of Sikeston, Missouri, two step-sisters Brionna and Dashyia Flye of Sikeston, Missouri, maternal grandparents Zelma and Terry Hicks of New Madrid, Missouri, paternal grandparents, Willie Moore of Howardville, Missouri and Henrietta (Matthew) Hubrins of Charleston, Missouri and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
