Daniel Kimes

Daniel Kimes, 71, died March 26, 2020, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

Born Jan. 10, 1949, in Sikeston, son of the late Arthur Monroe and Lottie Mae Brown Kimes, he was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and had been employed by Noranda Aluminum until his retirement. On Feb. 26, 1971, in Lilbourn, he married Brenda Kay Hon, who survives of the home.Other survivors include: one son, Jared Arthur Kimes of Clinton, Texas; one daughter, Kala Daniele Kimes of Austin, Texas; two brothers, O.L. Kimes of Clearwater, Fla., and Randy A.M. Kimes of Murray, Ky.; six sisters, Linda Hall and Judy Blankenship of Kewanee, Marilyn Kimes and Tammy Street of Kingsport, Tenn., Reida Kimes of Sikeston and Freida Kimes of Marion, IL. He was also preceded in death by one sister and two brothers. A private burial will be Wednesday at Missouri Veterans cemetery in Bloomfield
