It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Andy Smith who died unexpectedly on April 2nd, 2023 at the young age of 25. Andy was born October 30th, 1997 to Craig and Renee Smith and brought love and laughter to his family every day since.

Andy is survived by his parents Craig and Renee Smith; his grandfather Donnie Westmoreland; his siblings Ryan (Valerie) Lawrence, Thorne Smith, and Shelby (Kyle) Marshall; and his niece and nephews Shea Lawrence, Owen Marshall, Lydia Lawrence, and Boston Marshall. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Tommy and Bonnie Smith and maternal grandmother Carolyn Stevens. 

Andy was a proud employee of Nucor Hickman and a dedicated son, brother, and uncle. When he wasn’t at work he spent his free time with his best friends and honorary pall bearers; Mason Palmer, Gray Palmer, Tripp Cravens, Andrew Cooper, Aaron Weeks, Logan Broughton, RC Riley, Chase Silman, and numerous others. Andy was a devoted member of his family and would stop what he was doing to lend a hand and help out wherever he was needed. He was even known to spend days off of work babysitting his niece or nephews. He was known to be a happy, loving, and goofy guy and his absence will be deeply felt in every aspect of his family and friend’s lives. Andy enjoyed being outdoors, duck hunting, fishing, and spending time with his parents watching movies or enjoying a nice steak. He was a devout Catholic and member of New Madrid Immaculate Conception Church and he will be sorrowfully missed by his church, family, and friends. 

His funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 5, with visitation 1-3 and mass at 3 pm.
