Chester "Chet" Riley 87, of New Madrid, Missouri, passed away at his home on October 28, 2019.
He was born July 14, 1932, in Karnak, Illinois, to the late James and Georgia Tapley Riley. He moved to Missouri in 1965 to work in the Lumber industry. He was employed for many years at the Ralph Anderson Lumber Company and Cairo Dry Kiln as a, in his own words, board flopper.
On May 21, 1977 he was married to Joyce Welshans Riley, who preceded him in death on April 23, 2004.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by; two sisters, Orphia Corzine and Mary Goines, and one brother, Jim Riley.
Survivors include: two daughters, Mona Riley Hollenbeck of Columbia, Missouri and Becky (husband, John) Anderson of Kiaser, Missouri, stepson, Clay (wife, Luanne) Riley of Jackson, Missouri, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, step-grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.
