Brenda Joyce Jimerson, age 70, passed away unexpectedly at her daughter’s home in Kansas City on November 13, 2020. Brenda was born on January 29, 1950 in LaForge, Missouri to the late L.C. and Alene (Maddox) Jimerson. Brenda was married to the late Jack Irby of East Prairie. She was proceeded in death by her parents and sister, Barbara Gail Jimerson.
Survivors include her son Bill Irby who lives in Jackson, Missouri with his wife Michele and their two sons Kaleb and Aidan. Her daughter Barbie Irby (Glidewell) lives in Kansas City with her husband Chris and their two sons Zachary and Elliott. Her sister Linda Jimerson (Jackson) lives in Crestview, Florida with her a husband Hank as well as their families Hank and Wanda Jackson and Wendy Jackson. She and her sister Linda enjoyed fishing with their Dad, L.C. and growing plants with their mom Alene. She loved helping others and spreading kindness with her sweet greeting. Brenda worked for Southeast Regional Center in Sikeston until she retired. After retirement she moved to Kansas City, Missouri. She spent her retirement watching her grandsons play soccer, baseball, and taking care of her furry grandchildren, Lilly, Penny, Finnegan, Scarlett, Elphie, and Cookie. She was a member of North Oak Christian Church. Her favorite scripture was Philippians 14:3 I can do all things through Christ Who Strengthens me.
