Anna Lee (Hall) Hayes

Anna Lee Hayes passed away on December 29, 2023 at her home in New Madrid with her family by her side.  She was 96 years old and is preceded in death by her husband Raymond “Calvin” Hayes, her parents Arnold and Genevieve Winston Hall, and all of her siblings.  She leaves behind her children: Jennie Lee Fuller, Michael and Jimmy Hayes, nine grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren.  Anna Lee worked at the Bank of New Madrid for over 40 years; starting out as a teller and retiring in 1989 as a Vice President.  We knew her as “Memaw.” She was the whole package to us: kind, thoughtful and generous.  She loved her soap operas, Brussel Sprouts, German Chocolate Cake, Pepsi and the Cardinals.  She was loved and will be missed every day.
