Allie Marie St. Mary, 91, died Friday, September 25, 2020 at New Madrid Living Center, New Madrid, MO.
Born June 27, 1929 in New Madrid, daughter of the late Luke Wathen and Glodine Lamb Wathen, she was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in New Madrid.
On August 28, 1948, she married Steve St. Mary, who preceded her in death on December 31, 2011. They were married for 63 years. Also surviving are four children: Marie (Don) Phillips, Steve (Kathy) St. Mary, all of Portageville; Betty (Jimmy) Akins of Candler, NC; Bill (Mary) St .Mary of Chaffee, MO. She also leaves 5 sisters: Sarah (Jack) Sizemore of Lexington Park, MD; Glodine LaValle of New Madrid; Ginny Starr of Sikeston; Linda Williams of Kewanee; Mary Nell Davis of Nashville, TN; and 1 brother, William Wathen of Springfield, MO; 8 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and 13 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by 3 brothers: Luke Wathen, Charles Wathen, Lloyd Wathen; 2 sisters, Helen Perry, Ann Swilley; 2 grandsons, Ronnie Akins and Jimmy Akins and great-grandson, Dillion Akins.
Services will be held at 11 am, Monday, September 28 at Immaculate Conception Church with visitation at the church beginning at 10 am. Burial will follow in the New Madrid Evergreen Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Eric Eftink, Tyler Banko, James Fowler, Michael Fowler, Barrett St. Mary and Lee Richardson.
Richards Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
*In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to Alzheimer’s Association or Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
