MALDEN, Mo. - Margaret "Peggy" Thompson, 103, died Dec. 25, 2019, at Ridgeview
Nursing Home in Malden.

Born Sept. ,10, 1916, in St. Louis, daughter of the late Carol and Ethel Dutton, she was
a member of the First United Methodist Church in New Madrid and teacher in the New
Madrid County R-1 School District until her retirement.

On May 17, 1940, she married Price P. Thompson, and he preceded her in death in
1985.

Survivors include: two sons and daughters-in-law, Dudley and Donna Thompson of
Oklahoma and Ken and Sandy Thompson of Malden; one daughter, Janet Thompson of
St. Louis; and eight grandchildren and many great~grandchildren and great~great-
grandchildren.

Visitation is from 10 a.m. until service time at 11 a.m. Monday at First United Methodist
Church in New Madrid with the Rev. Bob McQueen officiating.

Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery at New madrid.

Richards Funeral Home in New Madrid is in charge of arrangements.
