Kenneth "Speedy" Smith passed away May 5, 2017 at his home in Marston, MO at the age of 75 years.
He was born January 18, 1942 in Anna, IL. to the late Henry and Nina Hill Smith.
On December 14, 1963 in Portageville, MO he married Patricia Pigg Smith who survives of the home.
He was employed by the New Madrid County R-1 School District for 33 years. He was an avid fisherman and had a love for horses.
In addition to his wife he is survived by 2 daughters: Jamie Dacus of Marston, MO. and Elizabeth (Mark) Hunt of Jackson, MO.
3 Grandchildren: Zach Dacus, Sarah Hunt, and Hannah Hunt.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 1 sister Sydonna Smith.
Visitation will be Monday, May 8, 2017 from 11:00a.m.-1:00p.m., with the funeral being held at 1:00p.m. at Richards Funeral Home in New Madrid, MO. with the Rev. G.L. Keene officiating.
Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
