Kenneth Ray Dowdy, 72, died September 20, 2017 at his home near Matthews, MO.
He was born February 20, 1945 in Matthews, son of the late Raymond and Mary Lois (Moore) Dowdy. He was a long-time auctioneer and Real Estate Broker, and was an active member of the Big Prairie Jaycees.
He is survived by two sons, Kelly Dowdy of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and Kevin Dowdy of Matthews, MO, one sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn Jean and John Burns of Montgomery, TX, two granddaughters, Ashtin Cohn of Scotty City, MO and Addison Dowdy of Matthews, MO, three great-grandchildren of Scott City, MO, several nieces and nephews and a host of other friends and relatives.
In addition to his parents, two sisters Margie Faye Dowdy and Mary Ruth Brooks and one grandson Kevin Ross Dowdy II preceded him in death.
Graveside services will be held at a later date
