Jake Tucker
NEW MADRID, Mo. - James "Jake" Tucker, 87, died Dec. 19, 2019, at his daughter's
home in New Madrid.
Born Jan. 5, 1932, in Earle, Ark., son of the late Dubbie and Gertrude Humphrey
Tucker, he was employed by Ralph Anderson Lumber for 50 years until his retirement.
On Feb. 16, 1963, in New Madrid, he married Wyvona Townsend, and she survives of
the home.
In addition to his wife, survivors include: two daughters, Sharon Tucker of New Madrid
and Linda Lowery of Houston, Texas; three sons, James J.R. Tucker of Florida, Johnny
TUcker of Tennessee and Micahel Tucker of New Madrid; three sisters, Aline Day of
Elizabethtown, Ky., and Ernestine Tucker and Pearline Wright of St. Louis; and one
brother, Robert Lee Tucker of Witch ita, Kan. .
He was also preceded in death by one daughter, two brothers and three sisters.
Visitation is from noon until service time at 1 p.m, Saturday at Richards Funeral Home
in New Madrid with the Rev. Robert Anderson officiating.
Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery at New Madrid.
