James Russell Bristol
Russell Bristol, 87, of Van Buren, Missouri, passed away June 15, 2019 at the Velma Dowdy Assisted Living Center in Van Buren.
On August 9, 1931 he was born in Van Buren, MO., to the late Jerry “Jay” Bristol and Nancy (nee Lyons) Bristol.
On April 2, 1949, in Hardy, AR., he married Gladys Marie Sisco, who survives of the home. They were married for over 70 years.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by; one son, Donald Bristol, one brother, Jerry Bristol, two sisters, Imogene Clark and Jane Towery, and one granddaughter, Hattie Piper.
In addition to his wife Gladys Bristol, he is also survived by: one son and daughter-in-law, Glen “David” and Sandra Bristol, two daughters and sons-in-law, Charlotte and Nick Painter of Salem, AR., and Sharon and Rob Piper of Walnut Grove, MO., eleven grandchildren, Michael (wife, Jennifer) Bristol of Tallahassee, FL., Danny (wife, Addie) Bristol of Austin, TX., Mandy (husband, Kyle) Hesemann, of Willard, MO., Robbie (wife, Cara) Piper of Ashland, MO., Kimberley (husband, Justin) Tyler of Sturkie, AR., Trapper (wife, Nicole) York of Sturkie, AR., Sherrie (husband, Jay) Gregory of West Plains, MO., Christie (husband, Scott) of Texas, Jamie (husband, Jason) Hampton of Paragould, AR., and Jimmy and Destiny McSpadden of New Madrid, MO., twenty great-grandchildren, Connor, Hudson, Charlotte, Hatty, Daniel, Brady, Gabe, Eli, Joel, Kade, Fisher, Conley, Huntlee Joe, Olivia, Eliza, Cash, Lela, Emily and River.
