NEW MADRID, Mo. — Harry Lee Starr, 93, died April 6, 2017, at his home in New Madrid.
Born Jan. 21,1924, in Bragg City, he was the son of the late Samuel H. and Mamie Marie Hopkins Starr.
His wife, Edna McMakin Starr, preceded him in death on March 4, 2015.
He was also preceded in death by three sons, Jeffrey Lee Starr, Harry Ray Starr and Michael Starr; one daughter, Sheila Reeves; one brother; and one sister.
Survivors include: two sons, James Starr and Ricky Starr of New Madrid; four daughters, Deborah Lynn Morefield of Springfield, Tenn., Cindy Warren of New Madrid, Loretta Starr of Dexter and Kelly Haines of East Prairie; and nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from noon until service time at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Richards Funeral Home in New Madrid.
Burial will follow in Mounds Park Cemetery.
