Donald Bryce Lewer

March 23, 1953 ~ July 15, 2017 (age 64) 64 Years Old

Donald “Bryce” Lewer, 64, after a heroic fight with cancer, was received into the arms of the Great I Am, Jesus Christ, on July 15, 2017, in his home, surrounded by his loved ones. 
He was born March 23, 1953, in San Benito, Texas, to Donald Alvin and Elizabeth Lewer. Bryce was a 1971 graduate of Deer Park High School in Deer Park, Texas. He was a resident of Scott County, Missouri, for the past 27 years and was employed with the City of Sikeston BMU Power Plant until his retirement in 2013. 
On May 31, 1980, he married Dorothy Jeanette Prino, who survives of the home.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by five children: David Davidian (Jane) of Fayetteville, Ark.; Nancy Kluesner (Dustin) of New Hamburg; Natalie Carlyle (Cory) of Sikeston; Nathan Lewer (Shevelle) of Cape Girardeau; Nolan Lewer (Alison) of Sikeston; eight grandchildren, Megan Davidian of Fayetteville; Chloe and Katelyn Kluesner of New Hamburg; Ethan and Emma Carlyle of Sikeston; Nathan Jr. and Nickkai Lewer of Cape Girardeau; and Landon Lewer of Sikeston; two brothers, David Lewer (Cheryl) of Washington, Texas, and Darrin Lewer (Marina) of Cypress, Texas; one one sister, Donna Glass (Keith) of Washington, Texas; and one very special mother-in-law, Dorothy Prino of Aquila. 
A memorial service in honor of Bryce’s life will be at 6 p.m. Friday, July 21, 2017, at Spirit and Truth Worship Center in Bloomfield. 
Richards Funeral Home of New Madrid is in charge of arrangements.
