Travis Blinn Atchley, 66, died March 24, 2017.
Born Nov. 8, 1950, in LaValle, Mo., he son of the late Cecil “Preach” Atchley and Ruby C. Smith, he attended Lilbourn High School and was employed by Noranda Aluminum. A Vietnam veteran, he received two Purple Heart awards.
On Dec. 12, 1970, he married Rita Y. Clark, who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: a son and daughter-in-law, Travis and Jennifer Atchley Jr., six brothers, Larry, Mikel, Glynn, Lynn, Vince and Brian Atchley; four sisters, Blendia Phelps, Janice Roth, Sherrie Culver and Karen Clay; and three grandsons.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Elvis Atchley.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until time of services at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Richards Funeral Home in New Madrid. The Rev. G.L. Keene Jr. will officiate.
