Deacon Thomas Edward Robinson was born Jan. 13, 1940, in New Madrid County, son of Lula Bell Robinson of Sikeston and the late Willie Robinson. Thomas confessed a hope in Christ at an early age, and kept the faith until the lord called him home on August 10, 2017 at the age of 77.
He was a member and deacon of Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church in New Madrid. He was employed at Noranda Aluminum until his retirement.
On October 29, 1962, he was united in marriage to Beulah Stewart, who preceded him in death. To this union of 32 years, 3 children were born.
On Oct. 21, 1995, he married Sammie Green, who survives of the home. They were married 21 years and 8 months.
In addition to his father and first wife, he was preceded in death by his sister Joyce Ann Robinson.
Other survivors include: two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Keisha Robinson of New Madrid and Timothy and Natasha Robinson of Kansas City; one daughter, Gloria Robinson of New Madrid; five brothers, Frank Robinson, Leon Robinson and Ivory Robinson of Detroit, Randolph Robinson of Colorado and Bobby Robinson of Sikeston; three sisters, Seritha Little and Helen Johnson of Detroit and Sheila Robinson of Sikeston; and four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Also a special friend Willie G. Brooks, and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Visitation is from 11 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m. Saturday at Mount Olive Baptist Church in New Madrid. The Rev. Robert Anderson will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery.
