NEW MADRID — Sherry Lynn Madigan passed away July 11, 2015, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau at the age of 54 years.
She was born April 16, 1961, in Toledo, Ohio.
On April 15, 1989, in Maumee, Ohio, she was married to James Gregory Madigan who survives of the home. She is also survived by two children: Lance Cpl. Robert Franklin Madigan of Cherry Point, N.C. and Katherine Elizabeth Madigan of New Madrid.
One son, James Patrick Madigan, preceded her in death.
She was a graduate of the University of Toledo with an associate’s degree in business management technology and was a member of Phi Theta Kappa. She was an employee of New Madrid County Health Department.
Other survivors include: her mother, Margaret Balogh Ritchey of Toledo; a brother and sister-in-law, David and Vickie Ritchey of Hilliard, Ohio; her mother-and father-in-law, James and Pauline Madigan of Green Valley, Ariz.
She was preceded in death by her father, Clair Ritchey.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church in New Madrid.
