NEW MADRID, Mo. — Ruth Ann Helmes, 65, died April 6, 2017, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Born June 6, 1951, in East Prairie, she was the daughter of the late Russell “Pop” and Naomi Casey Parr.
On Feb. 26, 1972, in East Prairie, she married Glen Allen Helmes, who survives of the home.
In addition to her husband, survivors include: two daughters, Angie and Tim Clayton of Matthews and Tonya Helmes and Tom Sutton of Sikeston; one son, Glen Allen Helmes Jr. of Catron; two brothers, Gary Wayne Parr and Timothy Gale Parr of Morehouse; one sister, Sharon Parr Rowell of Morehouse; and eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 11 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m. Monday at Richards Funeral Home in New Madrid.
Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories at Sikeston.
