Roberta Bell, 98, died May 14, 2016, at the Sikeston Convalescent Center.
Born Dec. 21, 1917, in Marston, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Bessie Mae Harris Welshans.
She was married to Hubert “Friday” Bell, and he preceded her in death on Nov. 5, 1986.
She was also preceded in death by one brother, Walter Welshans Jr.; and five sisters, Virginia Welshans, Wanita Welshans, Addie Mae Welshans, Lucille Allen and Louise Gurnow.
Survivors include: four nephews, Bill Allen of Hanahan, S.C., Chester Riley of New Madrid, Michael Gurnow Sr. of Scott City and Leroy Gurnow of Festus; two great-nephews, Clay Riley and Michael Gurnow Jr. of Jackson; one great-great-nephew and one great-great-niece.
Visitation is from 10 a.m. until time of service at noon Tuesday at Richards Funeral Home in New Madrid with Eric Mattson officiating.
Burial will follow in the Mounds Park Cemetery.
