Mary Simpson, 91, passed away May 7, 2016, at the home of her granddaughter, Julie Powell, in Lilbourn.
She was born Oct. 29, 1924, in Catron, to the late Herk H. and Dora Thurston Calvin, she was a bank administrator at the Bank of Lilbourn until her retirement.
She was married to John W. “Bill” Simpson, who preceded her in death.
She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Diane Elaine Simmons.
Survivors include: one son, Gary and Christine Ellis of Houston, Texas; two grandsons, Michael and Heather Ellis of Kingwood, Texas, and Larry Truelove of Lilbourn; one great-grandson, Benjamin Ellis; and three great-granddaughters, Alaine Crowder, Lauren Elaine Claire Truelove and Alexis Diane Truelove.
