Maggie Holmes was born in Shoffner Arkansas on May 7, 1926 to the late Roosevelt Woods and Savannah Tate. She was a people person and never met a stranger; she loved to talk and spend time with her family and friends she also loved to help others. Maggie confessed her hope in Christ and was a member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church in Parma Missouri.
Maggie went on her heavenly journey on August 17, 2017. She is preceded in death by her mother Savannah Tate. Her father Roosevelt Woods her grandparents Robert and Martha Horney. Her children Elext Lee Holmes (EL), Louis Mitchel Holmes (LM), Robert Earl Holmes, Lewis Alexander Holmes, Irma Jean Jones, Katherlene Woods, Maeola Holmes, and Olivia Holmes along with her son in-laws Leon Lee Cox, Percy Thompson and Jimmy Jones Sr. and one daughter in-law Johnnie Mae Holmes.
Maggie leaves to cherish her memory her sons Rayfield Holmes, Eugene Holmes and wife Ella Mae, Eddie Lee Holmes and wife Cynthia Marie and Elbert Holmes all of Columbia MO. Wiley Livingston of St. Louis MO
Her daughters Maxine Holmes of Booneville MO, Ollie Mae Thompson of Phoenix AZ, Tracy Ann Snyder and husband Tommy Lee of New Berry FL, Louise Nelson and husband Oscar III of New Madrid MO, Lilly Mae Cox of Parma MO and Roberta Holmes of Malden Mo. And a host of grandchildren, great and great great grandchildren.
