Cloyce Lavell Poore passed away July 17, 2016, at his home in New Madrid at the age of 74 years.
He was born June 29, 1942, in Maynard, Ark., to the late Dan and Mary Myrtle Bemis Poore.
On Oct. 3, 1981, he was married to Dorothy Leigh Edwards, who survives of the home.
He was a small business owner and former administrator of the New Madrid County Health Department.
He was preceded in death by his identical twin brother, Clarence “Doc” Poore.
Survivors include: his children, Curt and Kelly Poore of Jackson, Mark and Yolanda Poore of Tampa, Fla., Thad Poore of Hartselle, Ala., Leslie and Brad Kenedy of East Prairie; Lesleigh Carroll and Bill Reeves of Madison, Miss., and Andy and Courtney Carroll of New Madrid; two brothers, Bemis and Doris Poore of Maynard, Ark., and Lavon and Becky Poore of Tulsa, Okla.; one sister, Eugenia and Floyd Halterman of Mountain Home, Ark.; and 14 grandchildren, Josh, Beth, Addison, Taylor, Matt, Landon, James Curtis, Hannah, Ethan, Park, Lynleigh, August, Logan and Evan; and two great-grandchildren, Gillian and Skyler.
Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Richards Funeral Home in New Madrid. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the New Madrid Methodist Church with Eric Mattson and Jeff Polk officiating.
Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Greg Halterman, Floyd Halterman Jr., Kirk Palmer, William Thad Poore, Scott Riley and Dub Prince.
Honorary pallbearers will be: Jim Cravens, Bill Glaus, Ted Medlin, Jerry Webb Duncan, Hank Maclin, Carroll Compton, Joe Beaher, Andrew Ambrose, Chris Poore and Darren Poore.
